Southwater's Terracycle plastic recycling drop-off is located in the church carpark. It takes some plastics which cannot be recycled by the council's kerbside bins and local supermarkets
These plastics are currently recycled at the Southwater Terracycle Hub
- Plastic wrapping from bread & bakery, bagels, crumpets, rolls, wraps,
Plastic packaging from cakes, biscuits, crackers
Plastic packaging from cheese (including Baby Bel wax)
Plastic packaging from cleaning products, flexible refills, dishwasher tablets, trigger heads, household wipes, Marigold gloves
Plastic packaging from beauty products – blusher, eyeliner, lipstick
Toothbrushes, heads from electric and battery toothbrushes
Plastic milk bottle tops
Other small plastic bottle tops (metal and big tops go in kerbside Blue Bins)
Pens, felt tips, biros, correction fluid, markers, highlighters
Plastic air fresheners: cartridges and packaging
Inkjet cartridges,
Mobile phones.
